Uttam is a 5th year RMT and has graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in with honors in both Clinical and Academic Sciences. His passion for a balanced lifestyle and interest in Anatomy, Physiology and Kinesiology drove him towards a career in manual therapy. He enjoys addressing posture correction and assisting his patients in meeting their goals of being strong, pain free and mobile. He believes that in many cases, discomfort is related to muscular imbalance, weakness or lack of mobility in the kinetic chain, as well as the idea that physiology and psychology are strongly correlated. Uttam strives to address the root cause of his patients’ complaints and not just their symptoms through a variety of techniques like Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Myofascial Stretch and Joint Mobilization blended with Swedish and Relaxation based movements in a slow and moderate to deep Yin-Yoga style of treatment coupled with breath-work, to calm the nervous system and achieve the most out of the treatment. He also treats a number of pre and post-natal patients and is interested in further education in Graston, Cranio-Sacral and Advanced Fascial Stretching. He has also discovered an interest in the psychology especially related to Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, Core Trauma and PTSD and how our past affects our present.. In the past, Uttam has dabbled in engineering before moving to Canada for a University diploma in Adventure Sports Management in 2013. He has since managed a coffee shop, been a whitewater raft guide in Jasper, swift water rescue technician with Kamloops Search and Rescue, automotive service technician, and a tow truck driver on the Coquihalla highway.

Outside of the clinic, Uttam enjoys music festivals, functional training, riding his motorcycle, camping and making new friends along the way.
